Dr. Sandford Frisch and the staff at Eye Health Physicians of Lancaster strive to give patients excellent vision while maintaining the health of their eyes. For more than 20 years, we have offered comprehensive vision care to adults and children in Lancaster County, PA.
While many eye care practices have become impersonal and “all business,” our practice aims at treating the patient as an individual with specific concerns. We look forward to helping you maintain your vision for life.
Meet Our Doctors
SANDFORD C. FRISCH, M.D.
Dr. Sandford Frisch has been practicing in Lancaster since 1988. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ. He received his medical degree from State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY. He performed his internship at Staten Island Hospital, Staten Island, NY. Dr. Frisch completed his residency in Ophthalmology at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York City. He received additional training as a Glaucoma Fellow at Mt. Sinai Medical Center.
Dr. Frisch is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Pennsylvania Academy of Ophthalmology, Pennsylvania Medical Society, and the Lancaster County Medical Society.
Dr. Frisch takes every opportunity to continue his education by attending seminars and medical programs that teach and review ophthalmology techniques. He also provides education to our patients, community groups and organizations in Lancaster County.
Dr. Frisch is married and has three children.
Cynthia Koza, OD
Cynthia Koza, OD graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Villanova University. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Optometry from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL. With a passion for helping others, Dr. Koza has traveled far and wide providing eye care services to underserved populations. She participated in an externship at the Yukon-Kuskokwim Indian Health Services in Bethel, AK and volunteered her optometric services during a Humanity Mission trip to Ecuador. Dr. Koza practices full-scope optometry, diagnosing ocular diseases, such as diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, cataracts and dry eye. She also specializes in contact lens fittings and keeps abreast of the latest contact lens technology.
Dr. Koza loves the outdoors, especially beach destinations. She enjoys golfing, running, swimming and yoga.
Meetal Umarvadia, OD
Meetal Umarvadia, OD graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. Dr. Umarvadia performs full-scope vision exams—from pediatrics to geriatrics. She also specializes in contact lens fittings and stays current with contact lens technology. Dr. Umarvadia diagnoses diabetic eye disease, glaucoma, cataracts, dry eye and other ocular pathology. With many years of post-graduate clinical training, Dr. Umarvadia has developed broad and comprehensive skills that help her patients achieve optimal eye health.
In her spare time, Dr. Umarvadia enjoys spending time with her husband and children. She also likes to cook and share outdoor activities with her family.

In order to better serve you, please print out and complete the patient information forms below and bring them with you to your scheduled appointment. If you have any difficulty completing these forms, please come to the office 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time and our staff will be happy to assist you.
Please bring a list of medications you are taking, including dose and frequency.
If you have insurance coverage, bring your insurance cards with you.
We accept most insurances and participate with these vision plans: NVA, VBA, VSP EyeMed and Davis. We also accept Care Credit.
If you belong to a managed care health program, please contact your family doctor for a referral in advance of your visit.

We are located on Oregon Pike (US-272) near US Route 30. There is ample parking in front of our offices. Our office is located on the first floor in Suite 102.
